Set To Perform on Live With Kelly and Ryan Labor Day Monday (9/7)
The poignant music video for Brett Eldredge’s emotional track “Sunday Drive” is available everywhere now (watch here), telling People in an exclusive interview that of all the videos he’s made, “nothing has ever come close to the emotion of this” (read here). Directed by Reid Long, it was shot in his hometown of Paris, IL and made its broadcast premiere across all CMT platforms today.
“I hope the video lets everyone see how the moments we share with each other are all that matter,” Eldredge explained. “And that all we have is this very moment, and to make it count, no matter the situation."
Eldredge will also help kick off the brand new season of Live with Kelly and Ryan with a performance of “Magnolia” this upcoming Labor Day Monday (9/7), as part of "Live's Labor Day Cookout." Both songs are featured on his brand new, fifth studio album Sunday Drive, which has been hailed by Billboard as “his most compelling set yet, full of musical diversity and heart.” With its organic focus on sound and lyrics, the record earned additional praise from Rolling Stone calling it “his best album,” with People praising its “bounding anthems and expansive ballads.” Sunday Drive debuted as the top-selling country album week of release, marking his fifth Top 5 on the Top Country Albums chart. GRAMMY-winning producers Daniel Tashian and Ian Fitchuk joined Eldredge to create what The Tennessean calls “a creative rebirth for one of modern country’s most soulful vocalists.”
Following album launch, Eldredge is committed to continuing the exploration of his heart. He offered the world a raw look into his life and musical journey through Sunday Drive (The Documentary) (watch here) which takes viewers alongside the singer / songwriter from Nashville to his hometown of Paris, Illinois and then to Chicago, where he recorded the album. Directed by PJ Brown, the documentary features the friends, family, team members and collaborators who have made Eldredge the artist he is today.
Eldredge’s introspection still allows him to be the fun-loving artist his fans know and love. He celebrated album launch with a sit down interview for the GRAMMY Museum alongside Fitchuk and Daniel (watch here). The acclaimed vocalist performed a stripped-down version of his current single “Gabrielle” earlier this year on Late Night with Stephen Colbert (watch here). “Gabrielle” – a song that Rolling Stone declared “a breath of fresh air” – continues to hit airwaves around the nation. Eldredge recently premiered the song’s official music video (watch here), directed by Reid Long and shot, as glimpsed in the documentary, in the gymnasium of his alma mater.
