Tune In Tonight: Brett Eldredge On The Late Show With Stephen Colbert For National Tv Debut Of “Gabrielle”

New Album Sunday Drive Set For July 10 Release, Available to Pre-Order Now

Country superstar Brett Eldredge recently announced the July 10 release date of his upcoming fifth studio album, Sunday Drive (pre-order here)and he is about to give fans a taste of that new music. The Late Show with Stephen Colbert will share a stripped-down version of the album’s wistful lead single “Gabrielle” (listen here) tonight at 11:35pm/10:35c on CBS. The piano-driven track finds Eldredge, who co-wrote the song alongside award-winning producers Daniel Tashian and Ian Fitchuk (Kacey Musgraves’ Golden Hour), reflecting on a past relationship and ruminating about the reason a former flame went cold.

Continuing to establish Eldredge as one of country music’s most powerful male vocalists, “Gabrielle” impacts radio on Monday (4/27) and “will definitely stand out on the country airwaves as it takes a page from the soulful, piano-based pop of the 1970s” (The Tennessean). Billboard praises the way it “strays from traditional country and roams across a soft-rock landscape,” applauding how Eldredge “smacks the change-up out of the park,” while Rolling Stone declares “[‘Gabrielle’] is a breath of fresh air.”

The journey to create Sunday Drive began with the realization that Eldredge needed to dial back to dial in. With just a flip phone, Polaroid camera, notebook and guitar by his side, he began to reexamine both himself and the world around him. Together with likeminded producers Tashian and Fitchuk, Eldredge found a way to blend his acclaimed voice and strong midwestern values with a deepened sense of self and naturally matured sound.

The album also features past collaborators like Ross Copperman, with whom he has penned multiple chart-topping, Platinum-certified singles, on songs such as “Crowd My Mind.” The ballad is laced with nostalgia as Eldredge and Copperman’s lyrics describe the feeling of missing a loved one while tracks like “Where The Heart Is” (Eldredge, Jessie Jo Dillon, Tyler Johnson), offer a different take on reflection with its acoustic, mid-tempo monologue.

Eldredge also recently launched his first-ever official fan club, The Locals, named for his love of traveling “like a local” and wanting to curate a space that feels like home. The Locals will be a go-to place for fans to receive news, music and more before the general public. To sign up or to learn more, visit thelocals.bretteldredge.com.

Having celebrated his seventh country radio No. 1 with “Love Someone,” the critically acclaimed entertainer filled arenas on his first-ever, sold-out The Long Way headlining tour, which included performances of Gold and Platinum-certified singles spanning four albums. His highly celebrated Christmas album Glow debuted at No. 2 on the country charts and featured the Billboard Adult Contemporary and Holiday Music Chart-topping duet “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” with Meghan Trainor. In 2016, the album inspired a single live holiday show in Nashville, which has now grown into the annual Glow LIVE holiday tour, hitting major cities across the country.
